 In Cheer Interviews

Meet Khari Bryant, CheerTD’s latest Athlete Of The Week! Khari is incredibly passionate about the sport and recalls feeling a major connection to cheer the moment he saw Waubonsie Valley perform. Learn more about Khari and his love for cheerleading!

1. What first got you interested in cheerleading?

I saw the Waubonsie Valley cheer team perform at the pep assembly and I felt a major connection to the sport. When it came to stunts, tumbling, and jumps I knew that this was the sport for me.

2. Who do you cheer for?

Unfortunately, I’m not cheering this year due to relocation with my Dad’s job, but I cheered for Waubonsie Valley High School for Sophmore and Junior year. I am really close with a lot of the girls – they’re like sisters to me!

3. What was the best moment you’ve ever had in cheer?

The best moment I ever had in cheer was when my coach called my name and announced that I made Varsity!

4. Do you picture a future in cheer?

In the future, I can see myself coaching or being an assistant coach. I’d also like to design cheer uniforms for other schools and teams!

5. Are there any personal accomplishments you’d like to share?

I’ve been accepted to Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida! I plan on furthering my cheer career in college or at an all star gym in Florida. I couldn’t be more excited!

6. What do you like most about working with CheerTD?

What I love most about CheerTD is the staff members. They dedicate a lot of time and effort into their athletes, so they become the best they can be. They are really inspiring. Plus, when it comes to joking around and having fun, they’re the best!

7. Is there anything else you would like to add?

I really want to give a big shoutout and thanks to all my teammates, and most of all coaches and captains, because without you all I wouldn’t be this amazing person that I am today!
